Tulove grede

Tulove grede are situated on the southern side of Velebit. Rocks are situated in the waste of Velebit but are still within reach because of the vicinity of the road. The climbing activity in these rocks is less than this area offers. This area is not very far from Paklenica.

Rock, Routes

The rocks are scattered all over and it is difficult to mark them. There are lots of rocks in the shape of towers and pillars. The quality of the rock is very good. It is hard, white lime stone on the southern side. The existing routes have a small number of pitons and it is hard to register and to describe lot of other routes. You will find only a few routes here - those which comply with the criteria of this guide.

Optimal season

From spring to autumn. Summers are very pleasant and refreshing due to its position (the ridge of Velebit) and its height (the top of Tulove grede - 1120m)

Overnight accommodation

You can camp on the meadows in agreement with the owners or at the place were you have parked. On the "Groblje" meadow there is a water spring - you can find it under the big rock in the shape of pyramid.
